Mrs. Bromeier is the author of Little Angels Catholic phonics program. As well as being a Missouri Certified Teacher she is the mother of seven with 13 years of homeschooling experience.

Teaching your child to be a proficient reader is vitally important for his/her success in school and life. Learn all about reading readiness, phonics instruction, and how to develop your child's vocabulary and comprehension skills.


Lori Cobb & Mary Beth Franzen

Lori Cobb, wife of Thomas and mother of 2 teenage daughters and one 6 year old son, is a secondary education major who has opted to homeschool her children, including her six-year-old son who has Down Syndrome.

Mary Beth Franzen, mother of three and former elementary education teacher with special ed certification in mild/moderate cross-categorical disabilities, is in her 5th year of homeschooling, including her 17-year-old daughter with Down Syndrome. She has continued her learning through her family's involvement with the National Association for Child Development.

Special Needs
Topics to be explored will include:auditory/visual processing; balancing learning preferences; dominance; frequency/intensity/duration; diet and nutrition; and keeping it positive. This talk is also applicable to the various learning challenges provided by typical children with no learning disability label. 


Sr. Maria Christi Greve, OP

Sr. Maria Christi Greve, OP, is a member of the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia Congregation. The Motherhouse of this teaching order is located in Nashville, TN. Sr. Maria Christi is serving her first year as principal of St. Joseph School in Cottleville, MO, and has been a professed sister for 12 years. She is currently working on a Masters degree in Theology from Franciscan University in Steubenville

Mimi McDonough, wife of Tom, mother of one son and four daughters, ages
4-19, sits on the steering committee of the St. Louis Catholic Homeschool Association. Mimi is active in parish and pro-life activities. Currently in her 12th year of homeschooling at Holy Spirit Academy, she has been named Teacher of the Year for the last three years, narrowly beating out the family dog for the title!

Cynthia Haehnel, attorney, mother of five, and former homeschool mom, is presently in private practice and serves on the Board of the Public Policy Committee of the Missouri Catholic Conference. She has been working with The Bishops in Missouri and various pro-life groups in the area of Embryonic Stem Cell Research and also assisted in drafting the Catholic Health Care Directive that is used in St. Louis
